These drop earrings are an iconic piece from The Wild. Carved in the form of the now-extinct Huia's beak, these are one of the most popular pieces from this collection.
Cast in solid sterling silver and individually hand-finished, hung on hand made sterling silver hooks. The silver Huia Beak earrings are available in either a bright polish or an oxidised finish.
The beaks are 38mm long and 7mm wide. Each earring is approximately 52mm long from the top of the hook to the bottom of the beak.
If you select Made to order , please tell us in your order notes which finish you would like. Please be aware that time-frames for your earrings to be made can be up to 3 weeks. We endeavour to complete custom orders within 7 working days but at times this is not possible. Let us know if you have an exact date you need your order by.
These also come in bronze, and can be made as a custom order in other metals if desired - email us to enquire.
The Wild Jewellery is the joint creative venture of Annie Collins and Vaune Mason. After many years of working side by side in the jewellery studio, these two artists decided to make things official and create work that was a fusion of their styles and interests. The Wild focuses on endangered or extinct animals, and precious natural resources of Aotearoa New Zealand. Their jewellery is crafted in solid sterling silver or warm bronze, with rich textures and stylish designs. Accents of native timbers, bone and stone are added to individual pieces.
Mason & Collins are passionate supporters of handmade NZ jewellery. In our webstore you can find blisteringly hot contemporary jewellery that’s uncomplicated and made for everyday wear.
Our artists are all small scale artisan producers of quality jewellery in a range of styles and materials. Find your classic staples of solid sterling silver and gold rings, earrings and necklaces produced by amazing crafts people in small studios around NZ. Or be daring and bold, choose one-of-a-kind pieces that really capture your unique fashion sense.
